Thoughts

I will always remember my dear kind friend Hazel She was a person who spent her life doing things for other people and cheering people up She was kind and loving to all but also full of fun and laughter She was a wonderful Mother to Sarah and Simon but sadly she was so good and as they say the good go first She was taken from us because they needed her i

This is the poem I read out for you with Si's help, holding my hand so tightly. We miss you always Death is nothing at all, I have only slipped away into the next room, I am I, and you are you, Whatever we were to each other, that we are still, Call me by my old familiar name, Speak to me in the same easy way which you always did, Put no difference into your tone; Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow. Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes we enjoyed together. Play, smile, think of me, pray for me. Let my name be the household word that it always was. Let it be spoken without effect, without the shadow of a ghost on it. Life means all that it ever meant. It is the same as it ever was; there is absolutely unbroken continuity, Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight? I am just waiting for you, for an interval, somewhere very near, just around the corner. All is well. Henry Scott Holland

Do not stand at my grave and weep I am not there. I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow. I am the diamond glints on snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain. I am the gentle autumn rain. When you awaken in the morning's hush I am the swift uplifting rush Of quiet birds in circled flight. I am the soft stars that shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry; I am not there. I did not die. Mary Elizabeth Frye
